【Product Overview】
This is a futobuto shamisen made from very high-quality wood (Kouki or high-grade Shitan).

With a measured neck width of 30.2mm, it is spec'd for Tsugaru shamisen and powerful folk song performances.

【Main Specifications】
Neck Width: Approx. 30.2mm (Futobuto - thick neck)
Neck Wood: Kouki type (high-density, hard, high-grade wood)
Joint: Double Joint (strong and superior construction)
Sawari: Higashi Sawari attached (allows for fine-tuning of resonance with a screw)
Pegs: Genuine Black Ebony with Chamfered Finish (non-slip and luxurious feel)
Tenjin (Headstock): No cracks. In very beautiful condition.
Dou (Body): Marudou style. A label from a Niigata instrument shop indicating skin replacement in 1994 remains inside, showing it was well-maintained.

【Notes on Condition】
Skin: Torn on one side. Requires replacement for playing.
Back Skin: Features nipple marks characteristic of natural dog skin, proof that it is genuine and not synthetic leather.
Decoration: Simple design without Rindo (gentian) metal fittings.
Pegs: Slightly smaller than modern extra-thick types, but easier to handle and balanced for those with smaller hands or women.
Case: A hard case is included, but the exterior is damaged, so please consider it as protective material for shipping.

【Recommended Points】
While it has a modest appearance without Rindo fittings, its construction is excellent, featuring a double joint, Higashi Sawari, and a futobuto neck over 30mm, capable of withstanding authentic performances. Once the skin is replaced, this shamisen will allow you to fully enjoy the dynamic sound of Tsugaru shamisen.

We hope it will be passed on to someone who wishes to seriously start playing the shamisen, or those looking for a high-quality practice or backup instrument.
