【New】Sanshin Bachi (Pick) S Size Red Buffalo Horn (Dutch Buffalo Horn) Natural Material Japanese Musical Instrument Shamisen

This is a new bachi (pick/nail) for the sanshin, made from red buffalo horn, boasting a beautiful luster and transparency unique to natural materials.

While often referred to as Dutch buffalo horn, it's said that this name originates from old import routes and doesn't imply the actual presence of buffalo in the Netherlands. Therefore, for this product, we use the more accurate term red buffalo horn.

Red Buffalo Horn (Natural Material)

Its charm lies in the amber-colored gradation and patterns inherent to natural materials, with each piece having a unique appearance.

Unlike resin picks, it possesses a moderate weight and flexibility, drawing out the sustained, resonant sound characteristic of the sanshin. Recommended for those seeking a solid attack and a warm tone.

As it is a natural material, slight roughness or processing marks (light burrs) may be present internally, but these do not affect usability. Please understand that variations in color and pattern are individual to each piece, reflecting the natural texture.

This pick is suitable not only for sanshin but also for playing other Japanese instruments such as the shamisen. It is recommended for those who are serious about their craft, looking for a pick that is a step up from practice models.
