◆ Please read the Teikan (general policy) which applies to all my listings, and the Yakkan (product-specific notes) at the end of this description.

■ This is an expansion memory board using the bank switching method, released by IO DATA in the late 1980s for NEC's original PC-9801 to FX series (primarily for V30 and 286 CPU machines, but potentially usable with some limitations on any PC-98 with a C-bus).
It has a total of 128 banks, which can be used to supplement TPA shortages, or allocated to RAM disks or disk caches, significantly improving processing speed.
While it's assumed the user has some familiarity with software environments (like Memory Server), drivers for this once-common hardware may be available as freeware (details unconfirmed).

■ The condition of the item is generally described in the images. After careful consideration, I have proactively replaced the electrolytic capacitors as a preventative measure.
With numerous memory chips that consume a lot of dynamic power, stability should be improved.
In practice, it has operated stably without issues during resets with files left on a RAM disk (as seen in other game software listings) and during continuous operation for about a day.

■ The market price for C-bus memory seems to be around 1MB = ¥1K. However, as this is a rare, bank-only vintage item, I have priced it with an approximate 20% discount.

This is a rarely seen, high-capacity C-bus memory board, so we highly recommend it to users who cherish their compatible machines.
