1983 was a significant year for Patrick Simmons, marking the start of his solo career following the disbandment of The Doobie Brothers (after their farewell tour ended at the end of 1982).
His 1983 album Arcade is a masterpiece filled with Simmons' craftsmanship and demonstrated that his musical talent remained strong even after The Doobie Brothers' breakup. It is still highly regarded by AOR fans today.
