For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel them to create these toys.

Unlike other products, we do not hollow out the wood, peel the bark, or shave it, so we receive many happy comments about the hardness and how much dogs take to them?

We've made a set of two, one pear wood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Zelkova (left): Approx. 11.1 x 2.3-3.0 cm
Pear (right): Approx. 11.10 x 2.2-3.1 cm
Approx. 3.9 cm including small branches

Please consider the size in consultation with your dog, taking into account their mouth size, the size of their current toys (plush toys or balls), and their chewing strength.

For dogs in the nipping phase, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a slightly thicker diameter that they can grip will allow them to enjoy it for longer.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have thorns sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed as it is fruit wood.

The bark was peeled from pear wood branches from Niigata Prefecture, and dried for two years.

As this is a handmade item by an amateur, while we use a chainsaw for cutting and a belt sander (file) for the small branches, please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.
As it is wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and if you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouths, but please supervise your dog while they play.
Please refrain from use if your dog has fruit allergies.
