For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel them to create these toys.

Unlike other products, we do not hollow out the wood, scrape off the bark, or shave it, so we have received many happy comments about the difference in hardness and how much dogs take to them!

We've made a set of two, one pearwood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Left: Zelkova 12.7 x 0.8-1.7 cm (approx.)

Including small branches: 2.2, 2.3 cm (approx.)

Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please compare the size with your dog's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For dogs in the nipping phase, Japanese dogs, and active breeds, a thickness that they can just barely grip will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pearwood branches are less likely to have splinters sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
The bark was peeled off one by one from pearwood branches from Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file), but please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.

Since it is wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no danger of injuring their mouths, but please supervise them while they play.

Please refrain from purchasing if your dog has fruit allergies.
