Grandma's Handmade Kimono Princess Rabbit Doll with Embroidered Kimono and Lucky Bell Sound

This rabbit is made from kimono fabric, antique kimono, and old cloth.
The kimono was a favorite piece of my grandmother's, purchased in Kyoto.
It is a luxurious item, made using the entire embroidered portion.

The hair ornaments are also handmade.
The dangling kanzashi is a ready-made item.
The ears are made from an antique obi.

The bell held in its hand was brought along when visiting Usa Jingu Shrine!

Rabbits have long been said to be animals that bring good luck. Their long ears are said to gather fortune, their hopping signifies things progressing smoothly, and they are associated with prosperity. The sound of a bell is said to call the gods and have a purifying effect.

This is a handmade item crafted by my 80-year-old mother as a hobby for the past 10 years. When my mother was young, she collected antique kimonos in Kyoto. She used those kimonos to create this item, hand-sewing it from scratch.

As old cloth is used, there may be unique stains or scratches. As this is a handmade item, it may be less refined or more delicate compared to commercially produced products. Please understand that this is a handmade item before purchasing.
