Description
Iron wok with a plastic handle. Retro aluminum pot often used in Korean cuisine (like *horumon nabe* and *dakgalbi*), such as the Kamejirushi brand. These are designed for direct use on gas stoves.
Non-stick wok: Aluminum wok with a Silverstone (a type of Teflon) coating on the inside, available from manufacturers like Tsurumaru-jirushi. These are sold for gas stove use only or for both gas and IH stoves.
Handle Heat: The white handle part can become very hot when used over direct heat, or may scorch if too close to the flame. Always use a pot holder.
Do Not Dry Heat: If the interior has a black coating, dry heating can cause the coating to peel or release harmful gases. Always heat with oil or ingredients inside. As a precaution, we recommend boiling a small amount of water first to check for any strange odors or coating peeling before starting to cook.
