Cactus perches are recommended by veterinarians in the United States. The unique honeycomb-like holes and bumpy texture of cactus skeletons are said to keep birds' leg muscles in good condition.
It is a natural perch rich in minerals and calcium, safe to chew, prevents overgrowth of beaks, and provides nutrition.
An approximately 8-10mm perch is inserted into the cactus skeleton and secured with wooden screws. No adhesive is used on the screws.
After sourcing, natural cactus skeletons are repeatedly boiled and disinfected for about 4-5 hours to remove impurities, then air-dried before processing.
