Description
This is a traditional Gifu chochin lantern, characterized by its substantial feel from the use of ebony wood and its exquisite hand-painted floral design.
It is an old item, used only once or twice, and has been carefully stored.
For this listing, I have opened and assembled it for the first time in a while.
The box, packing materials, and instruction manual have stains, tears, and yellowing due to age.
Also, to the best of my amateur inspection,
there are faint yellow stains on the lantern itself. They are not noticeable when the light is on. (See photos)
Other than that,
I believe the main body itself is very beautiful.
