This New Year's decoration (Kadomatsu) is made with natural materials, carefully crafted one by one in a traditional Japanese house in the countryside, using kōmo (straw rope) which is now a rare handmade item.
The finish is sure to please those who appreciate authenticity and value the natural texture and warmth of handmade crafts.
Standing approximately 54cm tall, it has a presence while being a size that is easy to display both at the entrance and indoors.
● Uses hand-woven kōmo
Wrapped with precious, carefully hand-woven kōmo.
It is characterized by its gentle texture and warmth.
● New Year's decoration finished with natural materials
Bamboo cut from the mountains is sliced diagonally,
and the cut surfaces are polished and finished.
Traditional materials such as pine, nandina, straw base, and shuro rope are used.
● Warmth unique to handmade crafts
It has a nostalgic charm that machine-made products lack.
Simply placing it at your entrance will bring a crisp atmosphere, preparing you to welcome the Toshigami (New Year's deity).
