This is an extremely rare Coquille silver-embellished champagne cooler (wine cooler) from the renowned cut decoration model Diamant Bizot and Diamant Carre techniques, a fusion of techniques, from Old Baccarat (BACCARAT), the pinnacle of French crystal, dating back to the Art Nouveau period around the 1890s.

With an impressive size of approximately 21cm in height, 18.5cm in diameter, and weighing approximately 2kg, this piece combines practicality and artistry, making it a truly captivating masterpiece.

The upper part features the intricate and precise cuts of Diamant Bizot, the central to lower part boasts the powerful and deeply engraved all-over decoration of Diamant Carre, and the base is adorned with Baccarat's characteristic sharp, sword-like radial cuts, allowing you to fully appreciate the dazzling brilliance unique to antique Baccarat.

The silver embellishments adorning the rim feature an elegant Coquille (seashell) motif.

The design, both substantial and refined, strongly reflects the aesthetic sensibilities of the Art Nouveau period.

The luxurious feel created by the contrast between the heavy silver and the highly transparent crystal, a diamond-like brilliance that has not faded even after more than 100 years, is a testament to the highest level of craftsmanship of that era.

As this piece predates 1936, it does not bear the Baccarat hallmark.
