This is an oshibori (hand towel) tray, a traditional craft from Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, made by weaving bamboo and repeatedly applying lacquer.
Material: Made using only the body of the bamboo, with lacquer applied multiple times.

Use: Primarily used as an oshibori tray, but can also be used as a small item holder.
Features: Lightweight and durable, with a texture that gains luster the more it is used.

Set of 5 dark red oshibori trays with delicate weaving.
