Reversible Satin Sukajan

This jacket features two distinct embroidered sides: one depicting the USS Lexington (CV-16) aircraft carrier, and the other a large dragon. Both are vintage motifs.

Purchased new about 25 years ago.
I remember buying it immediately because the battleship design was rare and cool. I wore it for about two seasons, and then it was stored in my closet.

Considering when it was purchased, I believe the condition is quite good.
Please refer to the images. There is a small hole near the pocket on the dragon side, and there are pen-like lines on the sleeves.
The ribs are in mostly clean condition, but I found holes in two places. The zipper is original and works fine.

I have carefully examined and described the condition, but as this is a used item, there may be scratches or stains that I have not been able to list.

Tailor Toyo Sukajan jackets faithfully reproduce the designs of Souvenir Jackets, embroidered jumpers that were popular souvenirs among American soldiers stationed in Japan from shortly after the war through the 1960s.
Toyo Enterprise Co., Ltd. (established in 1965), which produces Tailor Toyo, has its roots in Koshō, a fabric trading company established shortly after the war. During the peak of Sukajan popularity in the 1950s, Koshō accounted for 95% of Sukajan deliveries to US military base PX stores.
Tailor Toyo is the only manufacturer with a tradition and history in Sukajan design and know-how, continuing to produce Sukajan jackets from their inception through their golden age in the 1950s-60s to the present day in the 21st century.
