This is a listing for an unused set of 2 Christofle table knives from France.

The model name is Perles, released in 1876.
It is known that the Perles design has a very long history.
In fact, this design first appeared in the 1700s.
Therefore, it is often referred to as a typical style of 18th-century silverware.

Please take a look at the handles.
You can see a beautiful decoration, as if pearls in a semi-relief are neatly arranged.
It is a truly luxurious decoration, and I believe it is a design full of elegance and grace.
Among Christofle's lineup, it is consistently one of the top three most popular series.

The material of these knives is what is called Christofle Silver, which is a copper alloy base plated with pure silver. (The blade is made of stainless steel.)
It is plated with a very thick layer of pure silver, 40 microns thick, and is said to be usable for about 100 years, for generations to come.
(Although, in reality, it's unlikely to last that long...)
This is because if deep scratches that penetrate the 40-micron pure silver plating layer occur, the pure silver plating layer will gradually peel off from the base copper alloy over time.

Regarding the condition, although these are 2 knives from an unopened, unused set of 6, the pure silver plating on the handles has tarnished to a pitch black color due to sulfidation, as you can see. (See images.)
Furthermore, since images taken through a cloudy bag cannot accurately convey the condition, I have opened one of the 6 knives, lightly polished it, and then taken photos. During this process, some extremely fine hairline scratches were observed, likely acquired during long-term storage. Please understand this in advance.
