I am selling this whetstone as I have accumulated too many.
It has only been used for test sharpening and is in unused condition with the stamp still visible.

I often see stones of the same type sold under the name Damascus Aomi.
As the name suggests, a beautiful suminagashi (ink-flow) pattern emerges when wet.

It feels hard to use, and while it doesn't require nagura (a rough stone for creating slurry), it produces a good amount of mud.
It finishes blades very brightly.
This is an excellent whetstone with no streaks.

Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about the condition.
Thank you for your consideration.
