The second photo shows the back side.
The third photo shows the stone when wet.
Grit: #2000 and above.
Polishing marks are shown in the photos. (Polishing marks from artificial whetstones #1000/#2000 are from Jinzo Toshi Hatenmaku)
The polishing method used was to polish flat steel SS400 with an artificial whetstone #1000, then polish for approximately 2 minutes.
Magnification: 120x.
Please note that the stone may have been treated with Natural Whetstone Curing Material Ishisan to prevent cracking. This does not affect sharpening.
We believe that placing this stone before the finishing stone will result in faster and cleaner finishes.
If you use a diamond whetstone to create slurry before sharpening, it will be very efficient.
For purchases of ￥5,000 or more (including combined purchases), we will include one or two pieces of Coppa whetstone (photo is a sample) as a free gift.
Additionally, regardless of the purchase amount, we will include approximately two pieces of offcuts (photo is a sample) as a free gift. These can be used as Nagura to create mud for better sharpening, and are also useful for rust removal, etc.
