Grit size: #1000 - #2000.
Includes photos of polishing marks. (Polishing marks from artificial whetstones #1000/#2000 are from Blade's Black Whetstone)
Polishing method: Polished flat steel SS400 with artificial whetstone #1000, then polished for approximately 2 minutes.
Magnification: 120x.
Please note that the stone may have been treated with Natural Whetstone Curing Material Ishisan to prevent cracking. This does not affect sharpening.
We believe that placing this stone between the finishing stone and the blade will result in faster and cleaner sharpening.
Sharpening is very efficient if you first create slurry with a diamond whetstone.
For purchases of ￥5,000 or more (including combined purchases), we will include one or two coppa whetstones (sample photos shown) as a free gift.
Regardless of the purchase amount, we will also include approximately two offcuts (sample photos shown) as a free gift. These can be used as a nagura to create slurry for better sharpening. They are also useful for rust removal, etc.
