■ Material
A 30/30/7 gauge domestic heavyweight loopback material made using the rare, old Azuma knitting machine. The lining is a non-brushed loopback, making it a versatile material suitable for transitional seasons.
The Azuma knitting machine is one of the early knitting machines from the 1970s, a period when knitting machines evolved from loopwheel machines to high-speed machines. It is a rare and valuable machine with few remaining. Its extremely slow knitting speed means that only about 1-2 rolls can be knitted per day per machine, making it a low-productivity machine. The slow speed allows for the creation of a soft, voluminous fabric texture.
