Traditional Chimayo weaving, passed down through generations in the village of Chimayo, New Mexico. ORTEGA'S is at the heart of this tradition, crafting all their vests by hand using old-fashioned handlooms.
This is a classic Chimayo vest featuring a square front pocket design. The off-white to natural beige body is vividly woven with geometric patterns in blue, red, and black on both the front and back, creating a natural yet striking piece. Made from 100% wool, it has a substantial feel and a characteristic texture, offering the warmth unique to handwoven items.
It features black button covers. The vest will become more comfortable and develop a richer texture with wear.
The piping shows no noticeable scuffing, and the overall condition is good.
