Amaterasu Stone
This is a mineral discovered in the deep mountains on the border of Miyazaki and Oita prefectures.
It is a rock from the Aso-Kuju mountain range in Takachiho and Hyuga, where many myths are passed down, such as the myth of Amaterasu Omikami hiding in a cave. It is also famous as one of Japan's Top 100 Mountains and a mountain associated with Toyotama-hime, the grandmother of Emperor Jinmu.
Locally, it has long been treasured as a mystical stone and a phantom stone, an ideal natural mineral that emits far-infrared rays.
