My previous child used Tetrico for handprints, but it has been discontinued. So this time, I purchased Katotol and plaster to make handprints.
For a newborn, you should be able to make one handprint with:
50g Katotol
100g Plaster
(My daughter, at 3 months old, was just barely able to make it with this amount.)
You will need to prepare your own container for taking the mold, but a paper cup worked for us! Other supplies can be found at 100-yen shops.
A stopwatch is recommended for accurate timing.
Applying hand cream to the hands and feet before taking the mold made it easier to remove them.
Since babies may cry or move, and mistakes can happen, I am sending enough for two uses (100g Katotol, 200g Plaster) in separate portions, as shown in the photo.
