Description
?Mold release agent for lampwork beads (powder) 200g
?Since it's a powder, you can adjust the viscosity to your preference.

?How to make the mold release agent
?1. Put the mold release agent into an empty container (a tall, narrow container is recommended for inserting the mandrel and applying the liquid).
?2. Fill with water to the top (be careful not to knead). Then let it sit for 1-2 days.
?3. Discard the water from the top of step 2 (the powder will have settled).
?4. Add water again, this time mix, and wait for a while. Let it sit for 1 day.
?5. The powder will settle again, so discard the water from the top (repeat this process about twice).
?6. Add water little by little until it reaches the desired viscosity (the目安 is when the peak formed by lifting a mixing stick disappears within a few millimeters).

?How to use the mold release agent
1. Knead for a few minutes before each use (knead until the liquid's concentration is uniform). At this time, dip the mandrel into the liquid and pull it up, kneading well until it adheres in a uniform thickness.
2. Insert the mandrel into the mold release agent liquid.
3. Heat the part of the mandrel coated with the mold release agent with a torch. When steam comes out and the moisture disappears, remove it from the flame.
4. Do not overheat the glass rod with the mold release agent attached; melt the glass well and wind it (at this time, glass is weak to sudden heat, so do not apply the torch flame directly to the glass at first. Preheat the area around the glass rod, and once sufficient heat has spread, apply the flame directly to the glass. This reduces the possibility of cracking due to sudden heat and decreases the probability of wasting materials).
5. After completing the desired shape, since glass is also weak to sudden cooling, be sure to perform a slow cooling process and wait until it cools to room temperature (if left as is, unless it is heat-resistant glass, it will likely crack). Normally, works are slow-cooled by placing them in materials such as straw ash, ceramic wool, or vermiculite.

Supplement: If the mold release agent is too thin, its release effect will be poor. If it is too thick, the mold release agent itself tends to peel off. The concentration of the liquid depends on personal preference, but letting it sit for more than half a day will improve the release effect, and the longer it sits and the more it is kneaded, the easier it will become to use.
