* The faint scent of cedar drifts out when you open the lid, bringing a sense of peace.
I couldn't forget the rice I ate while traveling, so I purchased this at a department store exhibition. I used it a few times on special occasions, so there are signs of use, but I always dried it thoroughly and stored it after use. Please check all photos by zooming in.
The steamer (small) is unused.

Product Description
A natural cedar rice cooker for freshly cooked rice.

Unfinished wood (unpainted) products feature humidity control, which prevents rice from becoming sticky over time and has antibacterial properties, making it resistant to spoilage. The thick bent wood is bound with mountain cherry bark in a scale pattern, which is said to ward off evil. The base is rounded using a potter's wheel technique, making it easy to clean as rice won't get stuck in the corners.

Awarded the Good Design Award in 1989, and the Long Life Design Award in 2006.
