The Trilobite Beetle (Sanyou Benibotaru) is a beetle belonging to the family Lycidae, named for its striking resemblance to trilobites. The females, in particular, have a round, flattened body that walks on the ground, making them look like living trilobites. Found in places like Borneo, there are significant differences in appearance between males and females, and much about their ecology remains a mystery, leading them to be called curious insects and drawing attention as living fossils.

Habitat: Primarily inhabits the rainforests of Southeast Asia (such as Borneo).
