Ishikura Ipponbuto Green Onion Seedlings, 50 pcs | Bare Root White Onion, Long Onion, Home Garden, Organic

Thank you for viewing.
These are seedlings of Ishikura Ipponbuto Negi, a representative variety of single-stem leeks, which are consistently popular for home gardens and container cultivation.

■ Variety Characteristics of Ishikura Ipponbuto Negi

Long and Thick White Shaft: The biggest feature is that the white shaft grows long and thick through soil mounding (blanching).

Exceptional Sweetness and Flavor: The fibers are soft, and when heated, they develop a melt-in-your-mouth sweetness. Ideal for hot pots, grilled leeks, and simmered dishes.

Cold Hardy: It has very high cold resistance, and its sweetness becomes even more concentrated when exposed to winter cold.

■ Cultivation and Harvest Tips

Non-branching: Unlike Kujo leeks, it does not branch (wake-tsu) but grows into a single thick stem. Therefore, each leek becomes a substantial and satisfying vegetable.

Create a White Shaft by Mounding Soil: By gradually covering the leeks with soil as they grow (soil mounding), you can harvest beautiful white leeks like those sold in supermarkets.
