ADA Solar I

Purchased as a new, unused item.
After confirming it lights up, I'm listing it because my plans to use it fell through.
The lighting unit itself has only been turned on once and is in like-new condition, but I discarded the bag the cord came in. The condition of the outer box is not great, but as it's a new-old-stock item, the unit itself is in good condition with no rust or water stains.

This is an ADA metal halide lamp, from before LEDs became widespread. It's designed for 60cm aquariums and features the characteristic water surface ripple effect unique to a small light source. It's a highly stylish hanging light, perfect for open aquariums. While the ballast generates heat, making it slightly less convenient than LEDs, the design and atmosphere of metal halides offer a beauty that LEDs cannot replicate. Recently, RGB lighting has become widely popular, but this is a full-spectrum light source, so aquatic plants and tropical fish should appear more vibrant.
