As the name Hyakunnichi-so (hundred-day flower) suggests, zinnias bloom for a long period from summer to autumn.
They are also great as cut flowers and are valuable during the summer when flowers are scarce.
Colors include a mix of red, white, pink, cream, orange, light purple, and apricot. The images are for illustrative purposes.
You'll find pom-pom double blooms, single blooms, and bi-colored flowers, each with its own unique and charming bloom style.
Prefers sunny locations with good drainage.
Tolerant of heat and drought, they will recover even if they wilt.
Dislikes excessive moisture, so watering is not often necessary for outdoor planting.
Pruning just below the spent flower after blooming will encourage continuous flowering.
Seeds sown last August bloomed in time for our December Christmas party!
Thank you for viewing until the end!
