Unlike commonly sold hard Akadama soil, because it is baked, it is sterile, very hard, and has a structure where the particles are resistant to breaking down. This maintains good aeration for a long time and provides excellent water retention and drainage.
? Hyuga Soil: Hard pumice collected from volcanic zones such as the Kirishima region in southern Miyazaki Prefecture. It has good drainage and aeration, similar to pumice and gravel. (Slightly acidic, sterile)
