[Soil Suitable for Moss Terrariums]
1. Nutrient-poor soil
Moss does not require a lot of nutrients.
2. Clean soil
Since you will be growing in a closed glass container, use the cleanest soil possible. Undecayed organic matter such as dead leaves can cause mold to grow.
3. Granular soil
Granular soil allows air and water to penetrate more easily than clay soil.
4. Slightly acidic soil
Strictly speaking, the preferred soil pH varies by moss species, but many mosses used in terrariums prefer slightly acidic soil.
