This is 100g of reasonably priced dashi kombu from Kushiro, Hokkaido.
These are shorter pieces of kombu that resulted from sorting.
The lengths are uneven, but the taste is the same.
Because they are reasonably priced, some pieces may be as short as 1cm, or may have poor color or holes.
Please use for making dashi broth, kombu rolls, simmered dishes, etc.
The white powder on the kombu is a component of its umami flavor.
Despite rising prices, we want as many people as possible to enjoy it, so this year we will be selling it at the same price as last year, 600 yen per bag.
