★Bamboo, with its straight upward growth, is a symbol of honesty, ambition, and growth. Its growth, with each node stacked upon the next, is likened to a life of effort and gradual progress.
Because it remains green even in winter and grows quickly, it is considered an auspicious item representing strong vitality, health, and prosperity. It is also planted as a garden tree, symbolizing family fortune continuing and unending prosperity.
Bamboo with distinct nodes is also said to symbolize clear boundaries, moderation, and sincerity. It is often used in names, family crests, and designs to evoke a person of integrity and seriousness.

★Goldfish are also said to resemble dragons lying down before ascending to heaven. It is believed that when dragons inhabit a place, the home prospers, further increasing its value as an auspicious item.
