KURETAKE Fountain Brush Pen Yume Ginga Natural Wood Pear Shape

This is a genuine fountain pen brush with a鼬 (weasel) hair tip. Two replacement nibs are included: one fine-tipped and one hard-tipped. By changing the nib, it can be used as a hard-tipped pen.

The barrel is made of pear wood, the same material traditionally used for the wood molds that are essential to ink makers.
Pear wood is chosen for wood molds because it is hard and easy to carve, allowing it to withstand significant moisture absorption without dimensional changes, as the ink balls, made from soot, glue, and fragrance, contain a large amount of moisture.
