[Product Description]

Yuki-tsumugi is a silk fabric primarily produced in Ibaraki and Tochigi prefectures. It is also simply called Yuki.

Yuki-tsumugi is woven from threads spun from raw silk floss, giving it a warm, fluffy softness and a comfortable fit that conforms to the body.
Yuki-tsumugi is broadly divided into two types: Honba Yuki-tsumugi, which is designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Japan, and general Yuki-tsumugi.

General Yuki-tsumugi is also known as Ishige Yuki-tsumugi, and it is produced in the Ishige district of Joso City, Ibaraki Prefecture, which is a different production area from Honba Yuki-tsumugi.

[Condition]

The kimono and haori are color-coded in shades of indigo.
The kimono is unlined and has a single-layer construction.
There is approximately 2 cm of waist gathering.
The fabric is soft, textured, and lightweight.
The lining fabric of the haori is polyester.
Although there are no basting stitches, the item is in near-unused condition.
