Inoue Sagakin Kimono Bag, Gold Base, Arabesque Pattern, Formal Occasion

This is a Saga Nishiki obi bag from Inoue.
It was owned by my grandmother and is a stored item from around the 1960s-1970s.

It is an elegant and gorgeous piece with a floral arabesque pattern woven in gold.
The openwork clasp is also beautiful, and the expression of the gold threads changes depending on the angle and how the light hits it, allowing you to enjoy everything from a calm impression to a brilliant sparkle.

Saga Nishiki is a very labor-intensive traditional textile woven using silk threads and Japanese paper with gold and silver leaf and lacquer.
As mentioned in the included bookmark, its charm lies in its material that combines gorgeousness and delicacy.

It has an atmosphere that makes it easy to pair with formal to semi-formal wear such as tomesode, houmongi, tsukesage, and iromuji.
It is also recommended for display and collection, as well as for Japanese attire.

The inside is relatively clean, but there are minor scuffs due to age-related storage, dullness on the metal fittings, signs of age on the inside of the handle, and a small thread jump at the bottom of the back.
