Beautiful condition ♪ Sashiko check & stripe Noragi - Japan Vintage

This is a vintage striped Noragi jacket.

The exterior is checkered, and the interior is striped, with rough sashiko stitching at 6cm intervals.
It is made of two layers, so it doesn't have the flimsy feel of a single-layer garment and is solidly constructed, weighing just under 1kg. The reinforcing patches on the back also add character.
The hem and cuffs are beautifully piped. The hem has slits on the sides. The high level of craftsmanship suggests it was made by a meticulous person.

The material may be leftover yarn weaving, as the fabric has a textured surface.
There are basting threads in some places, suggesting it was stored after completion. There is no fading or burning on either side, and the colors remain deep.
Recommended for everyday wear, as well as for events or costumes.
