My first Yorkie was discovered abandoned in a cage inside a storage unit. Because of the neglect and abuse she endured, she was left with a brain injury that led to anxiety and epilepsy. More recently, she was also diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, adding another challenge to her care.  My second Yorkie was rescued from a hoarding situation and suffers from severe environmental allergies. Living in Savannah, Georgia—where plants, pollen, and grass seem to grow year-round—makes managing his allergies especially difficult. He was also recently placed on exercise restrictions after injuring his front paw from jumping.  Despite the challenges, they are both deeply loved, and I’m committed to providing them with the care, comfort, and support they need to live their best lives.
