Important Notes:
This is the highest quality Thomson drive.
However, please understand that we cannot guarantee perfect read functionality.

Specifically, the pickup lens focus may occasionally be misaligned on initial startup.
This is because the drive's lifting mechanism is not fixed, and the table height and pickup position vary each time.

If a disc cannot be read, please reinsert it.
Dual-layer discs require particular attention, and please understand that disc aging is also a contributing factor.
(The standard before high temperatures and humidity was 20 years, which has already been exceeded.)

For these reasons, we recommend installing games to the HDD and then launching them.
This is detailed in the manual.

Refurbishment Details:

- Disassembled, parts washed with neutral detergent, and coated with UV-cut clear coat using an airbrush.
- The easily rusted outer shield has been painted black for rust prevention and a sleek, cool appearance.

- NAND rewritten:
  - HDD and EEPROM linkage removed.
  - Boot priority set to DVD.
  - If the HDD fails in the future, the provided disc can be used for restoration.

- Home screen changed to Evox menu (for HDD booting and launching other tools).
  - Clock setup will not be displayed on power-on.
  - Special capacitor removed accordingly.

- Power and eject button failure countermeasures:
  - This is caused by breaks in the printed circuit lines running along the outer edge.
  - Jumper wires have been installed to the control IC as a preemptive measure.

- LIVE ID implemented:
  - Since new LIVE IDs cannot be obtained through official channels, one will be implemented for you (essential for games like PSO).

- DVD Drive (Thomson):
  - Top cover sticking issue resolved.
  - Pickup lens cleaned.
  - Rubber belt and mechanism greased, capacitors replaced.
  - Continuous startup tested with multiple discs.
  - 100% read rate confirmed for each title.
  - Fastest performance to date.

- Original HDD:
  - Western Digital, 8GB capacity.
  - XBOX titles typically range from 500MB to 1.8GB, allowing for storage of 2-3 games.
