MON-ZEN [Monzen] Doris Dörrie: Director German Film VHS Version
◆ How I Acquired It
I bought this over 20 years ago used because I was drawn to the casual feel of the jacket art. It was a so-called jacket purchase. It has been stored deep on my home shelf.
◆ Condition (See Photos)
- The case has streaks and wrinkles, and the spine is slightly faded.
- There are scuff marks on the plastic part of the tape itself.
- As this is a used VHS, there were some distortions and noise, but no screen disturbances that would prevent understanding the scenes. I have confirmed playback to the end credits on my own VCR.
◆ Content
- Please check the photos of the text on the back of the jacket art for the synopsis.
- Since the entire film was shot with a digital camera, unlike film movies, the image quality is likely similar to V-cinema.
- It's like a Japanese road trip with a German Brother, but from the latter half at the temple, it has a documentary feel.
- Although unrelated to the movie's theme, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia for the Japanese scenery at the time of filming. (*Personal opinion*)
◆ Important Notes
- Due to its thickness, it may not fit into the mail slot of a standard home postbox.
- Tapes are sensitive to magnetism, so please be careful not to have any magnetic flyers from utility companies in your mailbox.
◆ Packaging
- It will be wrapped in a plastic bag and shipped in a kraft envelope.
