Mercury 5 HP 2-Stroke Outboard Motor

This is a Mercury 5 horsepower 2-stroke outboard motor. I received it from an acquaintance about 10 years ago. They told me they bought it new long ago and only used it twice before giving it to me. Since then, I've used it about twice a year for bass fishing. I used it in saltwater only once, but the inside is still very clean. I left it unused for a while, so I replaced the spark plug with a new one. The engine started up right away a couple of times, but now it seems like it wants to start but won't. It's possible that if you drain the old gasoline and put in new gasoline, it will return to normal, but I believe it will work fine if you clean the carburetor. I'm looking for someone who can handle this themselves, and it's for pickup only. Thank you.

The engine stand is not included. I will include the remaining bottle of Mercury's special oil as a free service.
