This is a listing for a Yamaha 5hp (5CS) 2-stroke short shaft outboard motor.
The listing includes only the engine itself, the maintenance tools shown in image 19, and the engine cover. Please note that the engine stand, fuel tank, and fuel hose are NOT included.
The shipping is set to cash on delivery, but please note that this item is for pickup only.

This engine was stored in a warehouse. I revived it for fishing this season and performed maintenance, but I am selling it because I acquired a 4-stroke engine.

This is an older outboard motor that was used in saltwater when purchased, and then in freshwater. It has scratches, paint peeling, corrosion, rust, etc., but I believe it is in good condition and clean for its age.
Maintenance was performed by an amateur.
- Carburetor disassembled, cleaned, and adjusted
- Spark plug cleaned
- New impeller replaced
- Gear oil changed
- Greased all parts
- Propeller: No noticeable scratches or chips.
  It had paint peeling, so it has been painted with ivory spray paint.

After maintenance, I tested the engine on an engine stand. There were no issues with starting, water discharge, idling, acceleration, or gear engagement (forward/reverse). (It has not been run in actual water.)
This is amateur maintenance, so it is not in perfect condition.
Please understand that this is an old mechanical engine. Only those who understand this should consider purchasing.
