Brown and Cream Religious Scapular Necklace

Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, a popular sacramental in the Catholic Church. It consists of two small pieces of brown wool connected by cords, worn over the shoulders as a sign of devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  The scapular expresses a filial relationship with the Blessed Virgin Mary and a commitment to follow Christ like her.  One panel typically depicts Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and the other often features a symbol or image related to the devotion, such as the one with the promise: WHOSOEVER DIES WEARING THIS SCAPULAR SHALL NOT SUFFER ETERNAL FIRE.  It is a sign of consecration to Mary and a reminder of the need for prayer and spiritual life.
