Vintage Lovebirds Needlepoint Quilt‎ Folk Art Heart Floral Bedspread Queen XL

Very large vintage needlepoint quilt with colorful lovebirds, heart basket, and floral folk-art design. This hand-worked wool needlepoint quilt features a detailed border of birds, flowers, and hearts with a matching center motif, all quilted into a soft cotton backing with diamond stitching. The bold saturated colors and Pennsylvania Dutch–style pattern give it strong visual impact for use as a bedspread, decorative quilt, or statement wall hanging. This is a true mid-century needlepoint quilt, made from printed needlepoint canvas that was hand stitched with wool yarn and then professionally quilted into fabric. These were commonly created from kit designs and were often given as wedding or anniversary quilts. The large size makes it suitable for full, queen, or oversized bed use. Condition is very good for its age with light general age softening and gentle quilting ripples. The wool needlepoint remains full and dimensional with no areas of loss. Colors are bright and well preserved. No structural damage or holes observed. Size: approximately 76 x 95 inches.
