Description
This is for Mika-sama.
This is a vintage-sounding tenor saxophone, meticulously assembled by Japanese craftsmen. While some parts are manufactured in Taiwan, the instrument itself is produced in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. It is a saxophone from the manufacturer Blastech. Purchased from Blastech Takaoka (0766-23-1029). This is the most expensive, flagship model in the Roote8 saxophone series. Although it is silver-plated, the body has a satin finish applied by craftsmen. From the time of purchase, the satin areas have shown extremely subtle signs of vulcanization and oxidation, creating a beautiful iridescent hue. The construction around the neck resembles that of a Conn saxophone, but the fingering is the same as a Mark VI. It is an instrument that takes the best of both Conn and Selmer. In terms of sound, it possesses the ease of playability of a 1930s Selmer Balanced Action and the darkness of an SBA.
I myself have used SBAs and BAs, and I truly believe it is remarkable that a new instrument has been able to capture such a vintage sound. Subtone is very easy to play, and the response is excellent. Despite being silver-plated, it requires surprisingly little breath to play. When you blow into it, it produces a lustrous, dense high tone. This saxophone is already SOLD OUT, and while we don't know when the next batch will be available, it is said that prices will increase with the next production run. Current Selmer saxophones and others are continuously evolving in a modern direction and have reached exorbitant prices, with the Supreme costing 2 million yen. Vintage American Selmer SBAs are now exceeding 3 million yen.
The Roote8 Authentic is silver-plated and was purchased just this April, so it is almost in the same condition as when it was bought. Minor adjustments have been made. I believe it is ready to be played immediately. It will likely sound even better with more playing. I am confident you will be completely satisfied.
I personally use a vintage Master Link. With the Master Link,
it became too fuzzy, which is why I have decided to sell it.
The guarantee card and all other accessories are included. The case is ultra-lightweight and can be worn as a backpack.
I have a performance video of me playing this saxophone with my Master Link. I hope it will be helpful as a reference.
