YANAGIRAWA A-5 Japan Vintage Alto Saxophone

This is an early Yanagisawa A-5, a Japan vintage model.

Considering its age, I believe it is in good condition.
When it comes to vintage instruments, finding one in good condition can be a challenge, and there's always a risk of getting a dud. However, I subjectively feel that this is a good one.

The instrument underwent a complete overhaul and adjustment approximately six months ago by the previous owner at the instrument workshop Wanida Shoten for around 90,000 yen.

I have been using it as my main instrument since then, but I am selling it because the sound doesn't suit classical music, and I am replacing it.

Its unique, mature, and distinctive sound is a weapon for blues, jazz, and solo performances.

You can achieve excellent sound stability, a clear resonance in the mid-range, and a sense of weight across all registers.
It features Yanagisawa's characteristic sarisari sound – a pleasant, slightly noisy, yet refined saxophone tone that is easy on the ears.
