The heavy-duty steel cylindrical body is structurally excellent with no dents, deep rust, or warping, and the hinge mechanism operates smoothly. The interior and exterior surfaces show light, typical signs of past use, faint storage scuffs, and a gentle vintage patina. Comes with its original recipe/instruction booklet (shows light staining) and the original retail box which exhibits heavy shelf wear and a detached end flap. CRITICAL NOTE ON MISSING PIECE: This unit is missing the original brass locking rod. However, a standard bamboo kitchen skewer works as a perfect, easy replacement to lock the hinge down during bakingjust ensure a small part of it sticks out of the end so it remains easy to grab and slide out when the bread is done!
