It is stretch elastic . These come with the box. I believe they have been worn once, but there are no evidence of any foot imprint inside. They look brand new with the exception of some show of it being worn on the bottom, which is understandable. these are really pretty shoes. Smoke free home. Pet friendly, but stored away from pets.
