This is a German-made Kohlert bassoon.
Kohlert bassoons are no longer manufactured, but Yamaha imported and sold them when they were available.
It has a rich tone characteristic of German instruments, with good airflow, making it easy to play.

The instrument has been serviced with replacement of faulty pads and key corks, and a full adjustment, so it is ready to play immediately.
