This ceramic piece features a beautifully textured, rustic exterior glaze in earth-toned browns and tans with a matte, unglazed feel.The design prominently highlights the Japanese Zodiac, featuring beautifully raised circular medallions. The top prominent medallion showcases a detailed coiled Dragon (Tatsu), and the bottom medallion depicts another zodiac animal alongside incised Kanji characters carved directly into the pottery body.  Features a distinct incised maker's mark/monogram (appears to be a stylized OD) cleanly stamped right near the bottom base edge.
