Ultra-rare Selmer Concert, London engraving, made in the 1940s, Clarinet

We are offering a rare vintage clarinet from H. Selmer Paris, model name #Consert.

With serial number #6099, it is presumed to be a very historic instrument manufactured from the late 1940s to the early 1950s.

It was passed down from my uncle.

The most appealing feature of this clarinet is the clear LONDON engraving in the position where Made in France or similar would normally be found (please see photos).

This is valuable evidence that Selmer manufactured and shipped this instrument specifically for the London market, which was a major market at the time. [Instrument Condition]
Wood: Considering its manufacturing age, it is in very good condition, with no cracks or signs of repair. It has beautiful wood grain and a vintage character.
Key Mechanism: All keys operate smoothly. The plating is also in good condition.
Pads: The pads are in relatively good condition and are playable. Please adjust them yourself if necessary after purchase.
Accessories: The original case from that era has been discarded due to severe age-related deterioration. It will now be delivered stored in a newly purchased, unused hard case (or soft case) for clarinets.
You can rest assured that it will be transported and stored safely. Unopened Arundos B♭ reeds are included.
